Collective Tsunami Painting is exposed in Calamiteitenhospitaal - Utrecht, The Netherlands
Published on: 24-12-2007

The paiting that was made by 130 attendees of the 'ontmoetingsdag' on June 11, 2005 now finally receives a place in the same hospital where 23 severily wounded Dutch survivors were brought in.

The third anniversary of the tsunami is a reality.
The painting that was made on June 11, 2005 during the 'ontmoetingsdag' by 130 attendees at the Calamity Hospital was given a place. The anniversary was a timely opportunity for this.
On December 20, the painting was 'revealed' by one of the creators during a samll gathering. A photoshow of this gathering will be posted on this site soon.

We thank everyone who contributed to make this event happen, in particular the commander of the Calamity Hospital. This painting is a little memorial for the tsunami. The poem that hangs next to the painting is in Dutch, it gives a poetic impression of the beauty but yet destructive potential that the sea carries within.
